The Lyryx team combines proven capabilities in software development with deep subject area knowledge to provide students and instructors with quality and affordable course material.<br \/>\nWe are currently recruiting for the role of System and Network Administrator, with opportunities to be involved in various software development projects. The core position involves maintaining and supporting our infrastructure in cooperation with our Director of Technology.<\/p>\n<h3>Specific Duties and Skill Requirements:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Installation and maintenance of production and mail servers: Linux servers running Apache Tomcat on VMware and VMs in a remote data centre. Substantial experience with these technologies is required.<\/li>\n<li>Network configuration and maintenance: good knowledge of firewall and VPN configuration required.<\/li>\n<li>Web application: maintenance and possible future development of the main web application. Good experience with Java programming required.<\/li>\n<li>Workstations: installation and maintenance of Linux and Windows desktop machines. Basic knowledge required.<\/li>\n<li>Software: installation and maintenance of various software packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualification:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Formal education or certification is an asset but not required.
