Production and Support Teams

Lyryx products are driven by subject matter experts: instructors with lengthy experience in both educational content and online homework. An in-house team of developers and project leaders blend their technical skills with this insight into the subject to produce the high quality final products.

Lyryx understands that education is a 7 days/week business. For this reason, we have a dedicated group of support staff available every day of the year! They are there to make sure technology is not in the way of learning, and that both instructors and students have the assistance they need throughout their course.

Executive and Management

In addition to these pursuits, Claude is an avid backcountry skier and mountain biker.

Spending two years teaching Junior High Mathematics in Calgary prior to joining Lyryx, Stephanie quickly came to appreciate the benefits of open pedagogy and open educational resources in developing personalized education for students. In her current role she supports instructors and students through developing, customizing, and maintaining OER in mathematics and economics. Through degrees in Mathematics (with a minor in Economics) and Education, Stephanie developed her knowledge of these subjects and an appreciation for the challenge of high textbook costs!

Advisors and Directors

Business Advisor – Steve Larter

Steve Larter is a professor in the Department of Geoscience at the University of Calgary. Together with his research group, he made fundamental discoveries in understanding key microbial processes in the subsurface of the earth, defining the temperature base of the subsurface biosphere. They also explained the origin of heavy oil and bitumen and translated these understandings into patented inventions and through several spin out companies, to commercially successful, deployed solutions relating to oil and gas development and carbon management strategies. Gushor Inc. was acquired by Schlumberger, the world’s largest oil service company, in 2013 with the technologies now being used at large scale worldwide.

Editorial Advisor and Board Member – W. Keith Nicholson

Keith Nicholson is also a professor of Mathematics at the University of Calgary, recognized within the Mathematics field both as an academic and a technical writer.
