Each year, instructors work to adopt, adapt, and develop open educational resources (OER). Because we think these tireless “side of the desk” efforts deserve to be rewarded, Lyryx holds an annual OER Champion campaign. This is our way of recognizing instructors for adopting our open textbooks and online homework, as well as their ongoing work with OER. We are always eager to share the stories of those instructors who uphold a strong commitment to student growth and learning through OER pedagogy.

Building on a tradition established in 2019, each year we select an OER Champion submission every week in February. A collective vote from our Lyryx Learning authors will then determine the OER Champion for the year, who will receive $1,500 to put towards further funding of OER initiatives.

The momentum of the OER movement is fueled by those championing the cause! Lyryx is pleased to showcase the stories of OER Champions working with us to maintain and increase the momentum of a movement that truly has an impact.
